In addition, he held senior corporate Policy Development and Remuneration Management positions based in Bechtel’s Melbourne Head Office. The review of contractual documentation and the establishment of employment conditions for major international projects were part of his remit. He has been responsible for managing relations with government entities in Saudi Arabia, Papua New Guinea and within Australia in respect to gaining the approval of work permits and visas to allow international employees to be assigned to major projects.
Since entering consulting practice, Rae has built strong relationships in professional services, manufacturing, engineering and construction, FMCG and Forestry related businesses. He has been retained by many leading Australian and global corporations such as Shell, Exxon Mobil, Kimberly Clark to provide both recruitment and specific HR advisory advice.
In the Engineering Procurement Construction Management (EPCM) sector, Rae has been retained by Bechtel, Jacobs Engineering, Fluor and KBR on significant talent acquisition assignments in respect to corporate positions and major construction projects including the multi-billion dollar Olympic Dam, Western Distributor Road Tunnel Infrastructure and WA Rail Infrastructure projects on behalf of BHP and Rio.
Rae leads the construction and infrastructure practices for Cornerstone International Group in the Asia Pacific region. Rae has successfully completed mandates for Chief Executive, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer level positions as well as assignments across diverse professional, management, and technical roles. He was recently retained to assist in the appointment of a Non-Executive Director for an Australian publicly listed mining company. The appointee has since succeeded the outgoing Non-Executive Chairman. Rae has provided strategic advice to Boards and Leadership teams on a range of engagement, termination, re-deployment and due diligence matters. Previously, Rae was contracted by the Chairman of a South Australian government corporation to serve as HR Manager on a contract basis during a significant sale and restructuring process. In this capacity, Rae provided coaching support to the then Chief Executive and to the Leadership team.
Currently, Yvette’s work encompasses both organisational and clinical psychology activities. In the clinical context, Yvette works with clients, many of whom are women, to deal with and resolve confronting issues in respect to their mental health and emotional well-being which they may encounter in their work and/or personal lives.
Prior to commencing her Consulting career, Yvette held Senior Human Resource Management positions both in the private and public sector, namely the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), V/Line (public rail transport operator), National Australia Bank as State HR Manager Victoria & Tasmania (employee base of 5000), and as National HR Manager with Figgins Holdings, a major fashion accessory retail group.

an resource management encompassing the design and implementation of major restructuring programs, industrial and employee negotiations, managing large scale recruitment projects, introducing re-deployment schemes in the public sector, leadership development, recruitment, succession planning and training functions.
Yvette holds a Bachelor of Arts with Majors in Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology both from Monash University in Melbourne. Yvette also holds a Diploma in Medical Therapeutic Services accredited by the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS) which she applies in her clinical work.
Yvette is a Certified Master Coach and is a Member of the International Coaching Council (ICC) having completed the rigorous Master Coach Program conducted by the Behavioral Coaching Institute. Yvette is also a Member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
A Registered and active practicing Consulting Psychologist, Yvette has been a Professional Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) since 1986. She is a member of the APS Coaching and EMDR Interest Groups. She was also a Founding Member of the Australian Association of Career Counsellors.
Yvette is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and Leadership.

Following successful individual human resource management careers, Yvette and Allan Rae founded Rae Consulting in 1991 as a boutique, Melbourne-based human capital consulting firm offering personalised, tailored and cost effective services encompassing: talent acquisition for executive, managerial, professional and technical roles across diverse sectors and functional disciplines; assessment for talent acquisition and development; executive coaching and workplace counselling; career management, transition & outplacement; and human resource advisory work.
Almost 30 years on, we are proud of our work and the regard in which our brand is held by clients, candidates and participants in the areas in which we practice. We believe the vision, values and objectives we set back in 1991 are just as relevant and worthy to strive for today.
While headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria, we maintain a presence in Sydney, NSW and in Adelaide, South Australia where we have several long-standing client relationships. We have successfully completed talent attraction and/or human resource consultancy services in all Australian States. We have also successfully completed assignments in New Zealand.
